From the Cellar to the Suit: My Journey Through Wine

I have been designing suits for 14 years, crafting wardrobes that speak without a word. When I moved to Jacksonville eight years ago to build the Kalypso brand, I started with something a little less stitched and a little more poured: wine.

My first job here was with PRP Wine International, bringing boutique wines into homes across the First Coast. Along the way, I would introduce these clients to my affordable luxury tailoring brand. It was not glamorous at first but it was personal. I learned quickly that wine opens more than palates. It opens doors, conversations, and trust. That journey eventually led me into private collections, restaurant programs, and moments where style and taste naturally aligned.

I was honored to be the Maitre D’ at Bistro Aix shortly after Irma. I saw how hospitality, storytelling, and a good glass of red could change everything. And when I opened my storefront in Downtown Jacksonville for Kalypso Couture, my goal was clear: build a lifestyle brand where fine tailoring and fine living coexist.

Then came the pause of COVID, but Kalypso never stopped.

Since then, I have helped launch Bespoke House, a nonprofit creative sanctuary for artisans and entrepreneurs in Jacksonville. It is where community, creativity, and craftsmanship come together.
